July 5th to Sept 28th
Hello Kiwanis Clubs of Ontario
Campaign Plans 5. Develop a Club based “Back to School” Program
Vision for your Back-To-School Project for Kiwanis Clubs 2026!
Make your community aware & involved in your Kiwanis Club’s commitment to supporting students by engaging in a high-profile provision of backpacks, computers and other needed school supplies through social service agencies.
We encourage Kiwanis Clubs to build their own “Back to School” Program encompassing:
The Kiwanis-Staples School Supply Drive partnership provides a ground floor for Clubs to work with Community partners needing School Supplies
On this you can build additional fundraising sources.
If you have access to a Foundation (CRA#), you can offer Tax-Deductible receipt to any Donor who would like to help the “Back to School” Program
If Not, Just set up a fund in your Service Account & advertise it - Sell it.:)
This strategy provides
greater flexibility in sourcing products for your “Back to School programs
and can provide a Tax-Deductible Donation route for potential donors.
About this idea
Several Ontario Clubs are effectively operating this way already.
Every year we are asked by Clubs & Stores for a Tax-Deductible Donation Methodology.
Because Donors at Staples Store are offering larger donations
Assuming you have a Foundation to work with, CanadaHelps.org provides a seamless methodology for donations, with an automatic tax-deductible receipt, direct deposit to your Foundation bank account and a tracking process.
On a left a an active QR Code that directs the Donor directly to a Donation Form on to CanadaHelps.ca
This QR Code (or similar) would be placed on various marketing and advertising medio to promote your Campaign
Here are mockups of the Bookmark Concept
Here is the Kiwanis Club of East York’s, CanadaHelps Page with the “Back to School” Fund listed in the Dropdown for Donations.
Notice that the "Back to School Fund" Selection appears in the Fund Selection Dropdown and at the Top, as it sorts alphabetically.
